I am absolutely loving how we are veering away from the traditional formal aspects of a baby shower. Before, we were seeing a lot of pastel blues, pastel pinks, or gender neutral pastel yellow or green themes for baby showers.

Now, we are embracing all sorts of fun themes to celebrate the parents-to-be!

What better way to cozy up this Fall than A Little Pumpkin Is On The Way Fall themed baby shower!

I am so excited to share a complete list of what you need for your Fall baby shower. Keep reading to find a list of items and creative inspiration for your Fall baby shower!

A Little Pumpkin Is Almost Due, so let’s give the mommy-to-be the Fall baby shower of her dreams!

Planning a baby shower takes a lot of work.

I created this post for you to make planning your Fall baby shower easy and to give you some inspiration for a Fall baby shower.

Planning a spooky Halloween baby shower instead? Check out my post on how to throw a Halloween baby shower!

First, you will need to decide on your venue.

You’ll have to sit down and budget out what you can realistically afford to spend for the baby shower. I would suggest planning this and booking the venue a few months ahead, just so you have an accurate idea of cost.

Next, you’ll want to check in with the mommy-to-be’s family. Is mom/grandma/aunt/sister contributing financially to help with the baby shower? That will give you a better understanding of the budget you have for the baby shower.

If you’re lucky enough, someone will allow you to host the baby shower at their house! This will save everyone a ton of money. You’ll also have some creative freedom with what decorations you want to use and what food you’ll have.

Once you’ve booked your venue and have solidified the date and time, you’re ready to start designing an invitation.

I totally recommend creating an invitation on Canva. There are plenty of free templates that are on theme with the Fall Baby Shower, and you can choose to either print it on your own or send it digitally.

You’ll want your invitation to stay on theme with the shower. “A Little Pumpkin Is On The Way” is so cute and has just the right amount of Fall for your Fall Baby Shower!

Of course, you can search online for print companies that will mail the printed invitations to you and spend more money. But that’s your choice. 😉

I would recommend sending out the invitations at least 6-8 weeks in advance of the baby shower.

Next, you’ll need to begin thinking about food and drink for the baby shower.

How long are you hosting the shower? Most showers are only 2 hours, sometimes 3, so that can give you a good idea of how much food to have.

If the shower is only 2 hours in length, let’s say from 2:00pm-4:00pm, you could get away with having a bunch of appetizers and desserts.

Any longer than 2 hours, I would recommend having some sort of meal choice.

Of course, if you have booked a venue, they likely come with their own catering company and you’ll be able to select from a menu.

If you are hosting in someone’s home, you could choose to make the food yourself, have everyone who is contributing bring a dish, or you could outsource the catering as well.

Don’t forget about drinks!

Typically, the only alcoholic drink baby showers have is a pitcher of mimosas, or a “Mom”-osa bar. You’ll need champagne and your choice of juice and fruit toppings.

Don’t go wild spending money on beer or wine for a baby shower unless you really want to.

1. You’ll need champagne flutes! These are disposable and have a classy gold rim.

2. These cocktail napkins are pumpkin shaped and totally adorable!

You’ll want to have plenty of bottled water for your guests and maybe another drink choice such as iced tea or lemonade. Soda is not very typical at baby showers.

To stay on the Fall Baby Shower theme, you could even make a Fall specialty drink!

3. Put it in this Pumpkin Shaped Drink Dispenser!

Then, start thinking about decorations for your Fall baby shower.

Definitely look at Pinterest for inspo on decorations!

Balloon arches are super on trend right now. You’ll want to look at some inspiration for spooky themed arches, as long as your venue allows this.

You can do the balloon arches indoors. They do not have to be outside! Although you may want to tie a balloon out front of the house/venue so that your guests are sure of where the baby shower is.

First, here are some Fall Baby Shower Balloon Arch Ideas:

4. Little Pumpkin Balloon Arch

5. I am loving the color tones in this one!

6. Go a little more earthy and add some olive green

7. Give it a Halloween Touch with Some Purple

There are seriously so many different balloon arch kits to choose from on Amazon.

8. Make sure you don’t forget your balloon pump! You will NOT want to be doing this without a pump.

Doing these balloon arches takes a lot of time. Make sure you plan accordingly and that you have people helping you with this! You may want to consider blowing up all of the balloons the night before. They should stay fresh.

After that, you need to think about how you will entertain your guests at your Fall Baby Shower.

Make sure your games fit the theme of the baby shower!
