A little boo is almost due, so let’s go ghouls and celebrate the parents-to-be!
Love the topic of this post, but planning a Halloween Bridal Shower instead? Check out my post on Everything You Need for Your Halloween Bridal Shower.
I am absolutely loving how Halloween is becoming so trendy, even for baby showers! We are veering away from the traditional pastel pink and blue themes for Baby Showers this year and we are embracing in black, spooky themes!
Planning a baby shower takes a lot of work. I created this post for you to make planning your baby shower easy and to give you some inspiration for a Halloween baby shower.
First, you will need to decide on your venue. Are you the bestie of the mom-to-be? Is mom/grandma/aunt/sister contributing financially to help with the baby shower? That will give you a better understanding of the budget you have for the baby shower.
If you’re lucky enough, someone will allow you to host the shower at their house! This will save you a ton of money. You’ll also have some creative freedom with what decorations you want to use, having drinks (not for the mommy-to-be!), etc.
Once you’ve booked your venue and have solidified the date and time, you’re ready to start designing an invitation.
I 100% recommend designing your own invitation on Canva. There are so many templates already designed for you! Oh, and, most of them are free.
You’ll want your invitation to stay on theme with the shower. “A Little Boo Is Almost Due” is so cute and just the right amount of spooky!
Of course, you can search online for print companies that will mail the printed invitations to you and spend more money. But that’s your choice 😉
I would recommend sending out the invitations at least 6-8 weeks in advance of the baby shower.
Next, you’ll need to begin thinking about food and drink for the baby shower.
How long are you hosting the shower? Most showers are only 2 hours, sometimes 3, so that can give you a good idea of how much food to have.
If the shower is only 2 hours in length, let’s say from 2:00pm-4:00pm, you could get away with having a bunch of appetizers and desserts.
If it is any longer than 2 hours, I would recommend having some sort of meal choice.
Of course, if you have booked a venue, they likely come with their own catering company and you’ll be able to select from a menu.
If you are hosting in someone’s home, you could choose to make the food yourself, have everyone bring a dish, or you could outsource the catering as well.

Don’t forget about drinks!
- You’ll need flutes! These ones are Halloween themed.
2. Ghost shaped napkins?! Are you kidding me?!
You’ll want to have plenty of bottled water for your guests and maybe another drink choice such as iced tea or lemonade. Soda is not very typical at baby showers.
To stay on the Halloween theme, you could even make a spooky specialty drink!
3. Put it in this skeleton drink dispenser!
Definitely look at Pinterest for inspo on decorations!
Balloon arches are super on trend right now. You’ll want to look at some inspiration for spooky themed arches, as long as your venue allows this.
You can do the balloon arches indoors. They do not have to be outside! Although you may want to tie a balloon out front of the house/venue so that your guests are sure of where the baby shower is.

Halloween Baby Shower Table Signs Or Food/Drink Signs:
You can purchase some frames from the dollar store and make cute signs on Canva to decorate on tables.
21. Better yet, I’ve made some Halloween themed printable ones!
Making them yourself or purchasing print at home templates will save you so much money rather than custom ordering the signs.
Finally, you need to think about how you will entertain your guests.
Baby Showers are known for their cheesy games about the mom-to-be or the parents-to-be. You should definitely have some sort of entertainment for the guests, whether it be games or interactive advice cards.
22. Guess what?! I’ve made ready to print Halloween Baby Shower games!
