I am absolutely loving how Halloween is becoming so trendy, even for brides! We are veering away from the traditional white and pastel themes for Bridal Showers this year and we are embracing in black, spooky themes!

I am so excited to share a complete list of what you need for your bridal shower. Keep reading to find a list of items and creative inspiration for your spooky bridal shower!

She Found Her Boo, so let’s go ghouls and give the bride the Halloween Bridal Shower of her dreams!

How to Start Planning Your Halloween Bridal Shower

I created this post for you to make planning your bridal shower easy and to give you some inspiration for a Halloween bridal shower.

First, you will need to decide on your venue.

You’ll have to sit down and talk with each one of the bridesmaids about what they can realistically afford to spend for the bridal shower. I would suggest planning this and booking the venue at least 6 months ahead, just so you have an accurate idea of cost.

You’ll want to check in with the bride’s family as well. Is mom/grandma/aunt/sister contributing financially to help with the bridal shower? That will give you a better understanding of the budget you have for the bridal shower.

If you’re lucky enough, someone will allow you to host the shower at their house! This will save the bridesmaids a ton of money. You’ll also have some creative freedom with what decorations you want to use, having alcohol, etc.

Once you’ve booked your venue and have solidified the date and time, you’re ready to start designing an invitation.

Second, you’ll need to find an invitation for your Halloween Bridal Shower.

  1. I have made an editable invitation for you that is super cheap and you can choose to either print it on your own or send it digitally.

You’ll want your invitation to stay on theme with the shower. “She Found Her Boo” is so cute and just the right amount of spooky!

Of course, you can search online for print companies that will mail the printed invitations to you and spend more money. But that’s your choice 😉

I would recommend sending out the invitations at least 6-8 weeks in advance of the bridal shower.

Third, Decide On Food and Drink For Your Halloween Bridal Shower.

How long are you hosting the shower? Most showers are only 2 hours, sometimes 3, so that can give you a good idea of how much food to have.

If the shower is only 2 hours in length, let’s say from 2:00pm-4:00pm, you could get away with having a bunch of appetizers and desserts.

If it is any longer than 2 hours, I would recommend having some sort of meal choice.

Of course, if you have booked a venue, they likely come with their own catering company and you’ll be able to select from a menu.

If you are hosting in someone’s home, you could choose to make the food yourself, have everyone bring a dish, or you could outsource the catering as well.

Don’t forget about drinks!

Typically, the only alcoholic drink bridal showers have is a pitcher of mimosas, or a mimosa bar. You’ll need champagne and your choice of juice and fruit toppings.

Don’t go wild spending money on beer or wine for a bridal shower unless you really want to.

2. You’ll need champagne flutes! These ones are Halloween themed.

3. Ghost shaped cocktail napkins?! Are you kidding me?!

You’ll want to have plenty of bottled water for your guests and maybe another drink choice such as iced tea or lemonade. Soda is not very typical at bridal showers.

To stay on the Halloween theme, you could even make a spooky specialty drink!

4. Put it in this skeleton drink dispenser!

Then, start thinking about decorations for your Halloween bridal shower.

Definitely look at Pinterest for inspo on decorations!

Balloon arches are super on trend right now. You’ll want to look at some inspiration for spooky themed arches, as long as your venue allows this.

You can do the balloon arches indoors. They do not have to be outside! Although you may want to tie a balloon out front of the house/venue so that your guests are sure of where the bridal shower is.

Halloween Bridal Shower Balloon Arch Ideas:

5. Classic Orange, Black, & White

6. Purple, Black, & White with Skulls

7. Pretty Pink & Purple Pastels

8. Purple, Orange, & Black

There are seriously so many different balloon arch kits to choose from on Amazon.

9. Make sure you don’t forget your balloon pump! You will NOT want to be doing this without a pump.

Doing these balloon arches takes a lot of time. Make sure you plan accordingly and that you have people helping you with this! You may want to consider blowing up all of the balloons the night before. They should stay fresh.
