I am absolutely loving how we are veering away from the traditional formal aspects of a bridal shower. Before, we were seeing a lot of black and white or pastel floral themes for bridal showers.

Now, we are embracing all sorts of fun themes to celebrate the bride-to-be!

What better way to cozy up this holiday season than a Christmas themed bridal shower!

I am so excited to share a complete list of what you need for your bridal shower. Keep reading to find a list of items and creative inspiration for your Christmas bridal shower!

She’s Snow In Love, so let’s give the bride the Christmas Bridal Shower of her dreams!

Planning a bridal shower takes a lot of work.

I created this post for you to make planning your Christmas bridal shower easy and to give you some inspiration for a Holiday bridal shower.

First, you will need to decide on your venue.

You’ll have to sit down and talk with each one of the bridesmaids about what they can realistically afford to spend for the bridal shower. I would suggest planning this and booking the venue at least 6 months ahead, just so you have an accurate idea of cost.

Next, you’ll want to check in with the bride’s family as well. Is mom/grandma/aunt/sister contributing financially to help with the bridal shower? That will give you a better understanding of the budget you have for the bridal shower.

If you’re lucky enough, someone will allow you to host the shower at their house! This will save the bridesmaids a ton of money. You’ll also have some creative freedom with what decorations you want to use.

Once you’ve booked your venue and have solidified the date and time, you’re ready to start designing an invitation.

  1. I have made an editable invitation that is super cheap, on theme with the Holiday Bridal Shower, and you can choose to either print it on your own or send it digitally.

You’ll want your invitation to stay on theme with the shower. “Tis The Season To Get Married” is so cute and has just the right amount of Holiday for your Christmas Bridal Shower!

Of course, you can search online for print companies that will mail the printed invitations to you and spend more money. But that’s your choice.

I would recommend sending out the invitations at least 6-8 weeks in advance of the bridal shower.

Next, you’ll need to begin thinking about food and drink for the bridal shower.

How long are you hosting the shower? Most showers are only 2 hours, sometimes 3, so that can give you a good idea of how much food to have.

If the shower is only 2 hours in length, let’s say from 2:00pm-4:00pm, you could get away with having a bunch of appetizers and desserts.

Any longer than 2 hours, I would recommend having some sort of meal choice.

Of course, if you have booked a venue, they likely come with their own catering company and you’ll be able to select from a menu.

If you are hosting in someone’s home, you could choose to make the food yourself, have everyone bring a dish, or you could outsource the catering as well.

Don’t forget about drinks!

Typically, the only alcoholic drink bridal showers have is a pitcher of mimosas, or a mimosa bar. You’ll need champagne and your choice of juice and fruit toppings.

Don’t go wild spending money on beer or wine for a bridal shower unless you really want to.

2. You’ll need champagne flutes! These are disposable and have a classy gold rim.

3. I am loving these peppermint cocktail napkins!

You’ll want to have plenty of bottled water for your guests and maybe another drink choice such as iced tea or lemonade. Soda is not very typical at bridal showers.

To stay on the Christmas Bridal Shower theme, you could even make a Holiday specialty drink!

4. Put it in this Christmas Red Ornament Drink Dispenser!

5. A Hot Chocolate Bar would be so cozy and adorable

Then, start thinking about decorations for your Christmas bridal shower.

Definitely look at Pinterest for inspo on decorations!

Balloon arches are super on trend right now. You’ll want to look at some inspiration for spooky themed arches, as long as your venue allows this.

You can do the balloon arches indoors. They do not have to be outside! Although you may want to tie a balloon out front of the house/venue so that your guests are sure of where the bridal shower is.
