Heads up: if you’re looking for cheap ideas for bridesmaid proposal gifts, but do not want to make an entire box, keep reading.
I have listed plenty of cheap bridesmaid gift ideas that you can pick and choose from!
I’ve curated a list for simple bridesmaid proposal boxes. Grab all of these items for your Bridesmaid Proposal Box on Amazon. You can purchase these items in a variety of quantities and have them shipped to your door!
Before I tell you how to make an easy DIY Bridesmaid Proposal Box, you need to think about a few things first:
- Did you decide who exactly is going to be in your wedding party? On both sides?
- What is your final number?
- How will it look in photos?
Here’s a hint: I get that you want all 10 of your bestie girls in your bridal party, but think about how that would look in photos. The photo would have to be so far away to be able to fit everyone in! You won’t even be able to see your pretty faces!
- Having 10 bridesmaids can get expensive. As a bride, your duty is to purchase their flowers on wedding day and any “requirements” that you want them to have (i.e. you want them all to get their hair done – that’s on you, not them. Or if you want them to wear a specific necklace, you need to buy it for them.) You’ll also need to get them a few things on wedding day: robes or getting ready shirts (if that’s what you’re planning on doing), and gifts for being part of the whole process.
- Other things to consider: does everyone get along?
- What are the financial limitations of the group? Can everyone afford to be in your wedding? Can they afford the expensive bachelorette party to Nashville that you’ve been dreaming of?
- Make a pro and con list with your partner and hash everything out until you both decide who is going to be in your bridal party.
If you need to cut people from your list, that is okay! Sometimes people will be relieved to not have the expense.
Now that you’ve decided who you’ll ask to be in your wedding party, let’s get started!
First, you can start with a card or an invitation to be your bridesmaid.

- You can purchase cards to be delivered to you from Amazon, or you could make your own on your preferred editing software.
2. Check out the Bridesmaid Proposal template that I have made – these are so cool because you can tailor them to your specific colors and details for your own wedding!
You’ll just need a free Canva account to edit and then you can print and distribute on your own. I recommend this very affordable cardstock from Amazon, you’ll just need to cut them after printing to your preferred size.
Next, what do you want to put in your box?
I would recommend putting useful, practical items in your box that your bridesmaids will actually use. Consider not having the word “bridesmaid” on everything (especially the higher ticket items), that way your bridesmaids will continue to use these items for years to come.
I would start with choosing one higher ticket item and then pairing it with a couple lower ticket items.
Higher ticket item ideas for your Bridesmaid Proposal Box:
3. Drink of choice (you’d need to keep this one out of the box!)
4. Bubbly Flute – This one does say bridesmaid
5.Glass – These are super cute and don’t say bridesmaid
6. Tumbler – Simple Modern Brand – Lots of colors
7. Coffee Tumbler – Lots of colors
8. Coffee Mug – This one is glass and comes with a little spoon! How pretty.
9. Personalized Travel Jewelry Case
11. Candle – I absolutely love, love, love this brand – I usually find them at HomeGoods!
Lower ticket item ideas for your Bridesmaid Proposal Box:
12. Socks – I used these for mine and they are SO DANG COMFY!!! You Get a Bride Pair too!
13. Scrunchies – To Have and To Hold Your Hair Back
15. Bridesmaid Pens
16. Candy – A Win For Everyone
17. Nail Polish – Bonus Purpose: Get Them a Color That Matches the Bridesmaid Dress!
19. Super Cute Bridesmaid Sunglasses
20. This one is a super cute bundle of scrunchies and sunglasses
21. Earrings – I got these for my bridesmaids!
Finally, you just need to choose the box and stuffing to pack everything in!
Here are my recommendations for boxes:
24. 8 pack with the word Bridesmaid/Maid of Honor
Make sure that you are double checking the size of the boxes so that all of your items fit inside! I would recommend purchasing all of your items before purchasing the boxes, just to ensure you have the proper size.
Here’s some super cute stuffing:
26. Rose Gold
27. Diamond White
28. Brown/Tan
29. Seal the deal with a super cute bow
There you have it! I remember how excited my bridesmaids were when I gave them the bridesmaid proposal boxes that I made. They still talk about the socks! A few of my bridesmaids even made sure to wear the earrings that I got them on the wedding day.
Sure, there are plenty of pre-made boxes on the internet that you can find, but in my opinion, personalizing the boxes to ensure quality makes all the difference.
